CV

Michalis Papamichael is the Security and Emergency Response Manager for Chevron Cyprus and overlooks the Chevron footprint in Cyprus and Jordan from a security and an emergency response perspective. He is also a member of the Chevron Corporate Emergency Response Team.

Michalis has over 32 years in the oil and gas industry. He has worked for BP in Cyprus, the UK, Greece, and Spain in regional leadership roles for 20 years and G4S for two years as a regional business development manager for the South-East/East Europe and Mediterranean region and Deputy General Manager Cyprus before joining Noble Energy (now Chevron) in 2012.

Michalis holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Brown University, USA, an MBA from Brunel University, UK, and an MSc in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester, UK.

He holds certifications in the Incident Command System (ICS), Managing Kidnap for Ransom incidents (Control Risks), Managing Major Emergencies (Maersk), ISPS Vessel/Company/Facility security, Security Consultancy (Control Risks), Business Continuity and Resilience (BRCCI) and Intelligence Analysis (ProQual Lv.3)

Michalis is an Honorary Research Fellow of the European University, Cyprus and the Co-chair of the OSAC (Overseas Security Advisory Council) Cyprus chapter.
