Prof Athanasios Hadjimanolis, – Athanasios Hadjimanolis received his first degree from the University of Athens in Chemistry and the MBA and PhD in Management from
Brunel University in London (U.K). The topic of his PhD thesis was on “Management of technological innovation in small manufacturing firms”. He has published several papers in international journals like ‘Research Policy’, ‘Technovation’, Safety Science, etc. and has contributed a chapter in the “International Handbook on Innovation” (2003). His work has been widely cited in international academic journals. He has worked for many years in the chemical and plastics industry and is currently Professor at the Business School of the European University Cyprus (Nicosia, Cyprus). His research interests include innovation management, entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, and management of safety at the work-place, especially in small and micro-firms.
