CERIDES is very pleased to announce that organisations where graduates from EUC’s Occupational Health & Safety MSc Program are employed as Health & Safety Officers, have just received the 1st and 3rd prize in the competition entitled ‘Safety & Health in Business Environments‘. This competition is organised by the Department of Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labor. In particular, two of the three top prizes were won by organisations where our graduates Maria Orfanidou (Vassiliko Cement Works, 1st Prize) and Kostas Hadjistefanou (Papaellinas Group, 3rd Prize) work as Health & Safety Officers. The award was handed by HE the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance Ms Zeta Aimiliniadou.
It is worth noting that Professor George Boustras, Director of CERIDES, is the Program Coordinator of both the Occupational Health & Safety MSc and PhD Programs, which are offered by European University Cyprus. In addition, a number of CERIDES members are actively involved in the implementation of both Programs of study.
