CERIDES acquires €650.000 of new Research Funding

We are happy to report that CERIDES has been successful in acquiring funding for the implementation of 3 (three) new large-scale European research projects.

In particular, CERIDES will participate in the implementation of the Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Training Network entitled ‘Pyrolife’ (Call: MSCA-ITN-2019). The budget allocated for CERIDES is €471,673.

In addition, CERIDES will participate in the implementation of 2 (two) research projects which will be funded through the Internal Security Fund mechanism (Call: ISFP-2018-AG-CT-PROTECT), namely ‘QROC‘ and ‘COBRA‘. The total budget allocated for both of these projects is €175.781.

It should be noted that partners in these projects include leading and highly esteemed Universities and Organizations such as Imperial College, Wageningen University, National Fire Protection Association, Stichting Dutch Institute for Technology, Safety, & Security, Hellenic and Cyprus Police, and many others.

The total amount of research funding acquired by CERIDES during its short history has now reached the amount of €2.4M. Furthermore, the acquisition of the new projects solidifies CERIDES’ position as one of the leading research organisations in the areas of safety and security in Eastern Europe. It also allows CERIDES to further strengthen its research capacity and international network of research collaborators, providing the platform for further expansion.
