Enhancing Fire Safety: CERIDES participates in the 2nd project meeting of the SAFED project

Dr. Christos Dimopoulos, co-Director of CERIDES, attended the 2nd project meeting of the Erasmus+ SAFED project, which took place in Athens on the 10th of July 2019. During the meeting the project consortium had the opportunity to discuss the project progress and prepare the 1st project’s fire training session which will take place between the 16th and the 20th of September at Zaragoza, Spain. Dr. Dimopoulos also attended the conference on ‘Conference on Sustainable Simulation for Fire Safety 2019’ which took place on the following day at Penteli Town Hall.

The SAFED consortium comprises of universities and training organizations, fire services and civil protection volunteers’ organizations as well as a non-profit research organization. The aim of SAFED is to support fire fighters in acquiring and developing further their skills and competences and improve the quality and effectiveness of their training through an innovative training methodology supporting the effective use of digital technologies and distance learning pedagogies
