Director of CERIDES Professor George Boustras recently visited the Minister of Climate Change and Civil Protection of the Hellenic Republic Christos Stylianides in Athens.
The discussion included ways of promoting the DG ECHO – funded Large Scale Exercises that CERIDES coordinates and General Secretariat of Civil Protection participates (among other European Civil Protections). In the aftermath of the summer 2021 fires in Southern Europe they discussed the importance of awareness raising, and the necessity of active citizen involvement in Civil Protection and Regional Collaboration.
Professor Boustras invited Minister Stylianides to visit the premises of European University Cyprus and CERIDES.
