CERIDES is happy to report its participation in the implementation of the Youth@Work “Digital Green Innovation” Conference, which was organised by the Youth Board of Cyprus. The Conference took place from the 3rd until the 7th of May 2022, at the premises of Elias Beach Hotel in Limassol.
The aim of the Conference was to to explore the employability and entrepreneurship opportunities in the digital and green sectors and thus create a cross-sectoral network of professionals. The Conference was attended by a significant number of youth stakeholders, including youth workers, youth project managers, and youth policy makers.
CERIDES contributed to the activities by attending the Innovation and Networking Fair section of the Conference. In particular, Dr. Christos Dimopoulos, co-Director of CERIDES, and Mr. Pierantonios Papazoglou, Research & Strategy Manager of CERIDES, had the opportunity to present to the participants the results of the Erasmus+ project FA-ST, and discuss with them their implications and the opportunities that they create for future exploitation.
The FA-ST Program was developed in the framework of the European project FA-ST “Fast prototyping and entrepreneurial skills to promote female founded start-ups in STEM (FA-ST)“, which is funded by the Cyprus Youth Agency through the Erasmus+ Programme and coordinated by the European University Cyprus. On behalf of European University Cyprus, Dr Christos Dimopoulos, co-director of CERIDES, acted as the project manager of the FA-ST project. Professor Maria Meletiou – Mavrotheri (Head of Education and Training Services, CERIDES), Dr. Simona Mihai (Director of the PEAK Laboratory), and Dr. Angelos Sofianidis (Research Associate of CERIDES Laboratory), constitute the team that implemented the activities of the FA-ST project.
