Mr Evangelos Katsaros and Dr. Christos Dimopoulos of CERIDES participated in the implementation of the table top Exercises of the ALTER project in Armenia. The table top exercises took place on the 24th, 25th, and 27th of June 2019, in the three pilot areas (Sisian, Kapan, and Akhtala) where the actual small-scale full exercises will be implemented during autumn 2019.
The table top exercises allowed the stakeholders of the ALTER project, in cooperation with the local communities and private companies, to assess the disaster management plans which are in place with regards to the risk of dam failures in the corresponding areas.
