CERIDES is happy to announce that Dr. Konstantinos Katzis has received the European University Cyprus ‘2025 Distinguished Researcher Award’.
Acknowledging and rewarding the excellence demonstrated by its members in Research and Teaching, the European University Cyprus annually awards two ‘Excellence in Teaching Awards’ and three ‘Excellence in Research Awards’.
Dr. Katzis accepted the ‘2025 Distinguished Researcher Award’ from the University’s Rector Professor Andreas Efstathiou during an official ceremony which took place at the European University Cyprus Cultural Center.
During his acceptance speech, Dr Katzis presented his extensive fundamental and applied research activities in the domain of telecommunications. In addition, he showcased how CERIDES is creating an impact in the domain of civil security by combining the interdisciplinary skills of its researchers in the context of a number of European-funded projects.
