Professor Maria Meletiou – Mavrotheris, Head of Head of Education and Training Services of CERIDES, has been invited as a keynote speaker at the online International Congress of eXtended Reality in Sciences (#DIMENSIONSXR2020), to take place between October 28-30. #DIMENSIONSXR2020 is an international conference and exhibition which together Extended Reality (XR) pioneers, leading scientists, researchers, engineers, practitioners, technology developers and policy makers in science and extended reality to exchange information on their latest research progress and innovation. Participants from the top international academic, government and private industry labs of different disciplines participate in #DIMENSIONSXR2020 to identify new technology trends, development tools, product opportunities, R&D collaborations, and commercialization partners.
Dr. Maria Meletiou-Mavrotheris, a Professor of Mathematics Education at European University Cyprus and Director of the ICT-Enhanced Education Laboratory hosted at CERIDES, has been invited to the Congress as an expert in the field of Education. Her keynote talk will provide an overview of the main insights gained from the design, pilot testing, and implementation of two innovative professional development programs developed within the European projects Living Book—Augmenting Reading for Life (2016–2019), and EL-STEM: Enlivened Laboratories within STEM Education (2017- 2020).
