Dr. Ioannis Anyfantis is a Project Manager for EU-OSHA. Prior to that, he worked for the Greek Labour Inspectorate. He is a Scientific collaborator at the European University of Cyprus.
He holds an MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (GR), an MSc in Communication Engineering from UMIST (University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology – UK), and another MSc in Technology Management (Manchester School of Management – UK). He also holds a Ph.D. in Medicine (University of Thessaly, GR). Dr Ioannis Anyfantis is an expert in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management Systems, and Risk Assessment, mastering a multilateral approach on them. He has a strong knowledge of OSH legislation, while he has significant experience in conducting safety and health audits and accident investigations. He is the National representative at a number of European Commission’s Working Groups of the Senior Labour Inspector Committee. This significant experience in the actual field is combined with research achievements. His research has been published as a number of scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, while he is a peer-reviewer of Safety Science (Elsevier), SH@W (Elsevier), and Public Health (BMC). He has also presented his research in a number of international conferences. Finally, he is a European Commission evaluator of Horizon 2020 projects.
