Dr Konstantinos Katzis received his BEng degree in Computer Systems Engineering and his MSc degree in Radio Systems Engineering from University of Hull (UK) in 2000 and 2001 respectively. In 2001 he became a member of the Communications Research Group at the University of York (UK) where he remained there until the end of September 2006. He currently holds the positions of Associate Professor of Computer Science & Engineering, Deputy Dean of the School of Sciences, and Director of the interdisciplinary Communications Research Centre (iCRC) at European University Cyprus. His research interests include radio resource management, dynamic spectrum assignment, cognitive radio devices, IoT for Healthcare, defining future 5G networks and network flying platforms. Konstantinos is a Management Committee member of IRACON (COST Action CA15104), secretary of IEEE 1900.6 Standard and also a Programme Committee member of H2020 – SPACE. He is member of the team of experts consulting the Republic of Cyprus on Space related R&D matters. Konstantinos has been involved in a large number of research projects both at local and European level.
