Professor Maria Meletiou receives Distinguished Researcher Award from European University Cyprus

CERIDES is proud to announce that Professor Maria Meletiou, Director of the ICTEE Laboratory, and Head of Education and Training Services of CERIDES, is the recipient the Distinguished Researcher Award from European University Cyprus.

The CERIDES Management Team, as well as all CERIDES Researchers and Administrative personnel warmly congratulates Professor Maria Meletiou on her significant and well-deserved achievement!

Dr. Maria Meletiou-Mavrotheris is a Professor of Mathematics Education at EUC, Director of the ICTEE Laboratory, and Head of Education and Training Services of CERIDES. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education (University of Texas at Austin, 2000), an M.Sc. in Statistics (UT Austin, 1994), an M.Sc. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering (UT Austin, 1998), an M.A. in Open and Distance Learning (UK Open University, 2008), a B.A. in Mathematics (UT Austin, 1993), and Teacher’s Diploma in Elementary Education (Cyprus Pedagogical Academy, 1990). Her research work focuses on technology-enabled education, specifically on the use of advanced e-learning technologies in mathematics and science teaching and learning at the school and higher education level, and in vocational training. Her research record includes active contributions to as well as the coordination of multiple EU funded projects.
